After years of heavy periods, fibroids that have grown bigger and increased in volume and finally emergency blood transfusions due to excessive blood loss, I was finally referred to Miss Coker. This was the best thing that could have happened to me and every nurse I had spoken with during my hospital trips had said that she was the best. She knew exactly what needed to happen, that I had to have an operation to remove the fibroids as they were seriously effecting my health. I mentioned that I was so scared having never had any kind of operation before but she put my mind at ease and also advised what the risks may be. She also reassured me that I would still be able to have children which is important to me. The operation went smoothly even though there was more fibroids to be removed that we all initially thought. In addition to this, Miss Coker had to completely reconstruct my uterus as one of the fibroids had grown into the uterus wall. During my post op appointment, I was able to see the internal work Miss Coker had done and we were both pleased that there wasn't any scar tissue and everything looked perfect. Yes, I now have a scar but it is very neat and is healing nicely. If you are referred to Miss Coker, trust that you are in the very best hands. She knows what she is doing, she is very professional, kind and understanding and will help you to the best of her ability. I hope my fibroids don't come back but if they do and if I can, I would definitely request for Miss Coker to perform any future operation.

Miss Coker did a hysteroscopy procedure for me at St Albans City hospital. I was nervous beforehand but she put me at ease immediately. She was both kind and professional - and with a sense of humour. During our discussions I also realised that she was extremely well informed in her field. She had been on recent courses - and so she was able to provide me with the latest up to date advice. I found her approachable, and also very helpful. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Miss Coker carried out my hysteroscopy at St Albans City Hospital. She discussed my notes with me and gave me the option of not going ahead (on the basis that I'd already had a biopsy result which was normal). I decided to proceed anyway for peace of mind. The procedure was relatively pain free and quick - and she was very reassuring and friendly throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others.

Miss Coker was my consultant during my pregnancy and was the best consultant I could have asked for. She explained everything to me and listened to any concerns I had. She always put my mind at ease during our appointments especially when explaining my ultrasound scan results. She was kind and friendly at all my appointments. She paid interest and ensured that I received the best care possible even when I was in the ward during labour. When I have my next babies, I will be requesting her as my consultant again. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
